Here at Buzz Interactive, we’re all about thinking outside the box! So, when Jon Ramage, chartered building surveyor and founder of Atlantic Building Consultants, reached out for help with a totally new app concept, we couldn’t wait to jump right in.
TECHNICAL INNOVATION
Taking part in our Discovery Phase sessions was key to building Jon a Proof of Concept, to see if his idea could become reality and be pitched to investors. His idea? To create a room scanning app that could give an energy efficiency grading to a room to identify where improvements might be made.
By honing our usual sessions to focus more on technical feasibility and R&D for this project, it was time for our developers to have some fun.
DEVELOPING THE DETAILS
And what fun they had! By the end of the Discovery Phase, our team developed a PoC app allowing users to scan a room using the latest Apple LiDAR technology from their own devices.
The next steps? Heading to the investors so Jon can get ready to move to build, with a final aim of developing an app that uses the detailed data to create 3D models, which could be easily shared between contractors.
